Doodle!

Doodle is an animated art teaching video that helped Evy go from scribbles to drawing faces with eyes (including pupils) almost overnight. I can't say enough good things about this video. It simultaneously engaged all my children from age 2 to 8, and teaches the fundamentals of drawing, cartooning and caricatures, and a series of other higher skills like light and shadow, perspective, and human figure drawing. It also goes into tidbits of art history. The episodes ran on PBS, and are very short and fast paced, which might account for their big hit with my gang. Beautifully animated and well done.
