Merry Christmas, Big Hungry Bear!

Merry Christmas: Big Hungry Bear! at Amazon.com
Level: Intermediate
Description: This is a fantastic continuation of the story of the little mouse we met in The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear. Like the original, it is a very engaging read, jammed packed full of teaching moments for early abstract concepts like why and emotions. In this version, the Little Mouse is afraid that the Big, Hungry Bear will steal his Christmas Presents. But the narrator gently explains that no one ever gives the Big, Hungry Bear Christmas gifts. So the Little Mouse, his tiny heart touched, drags Christmas up the hill to the Big, Hungry Bear's cave and receives a wonderful surprise in return. Possibly even better than the original, this one has fast become one of the boys' favorites! An excellent value for teaching compassion AND comprehension.
