Level: Intermediate

Description: In this book, a little old lady is accosted by clomping shoes, wiggling pants, a shaking shirt, clapping gloves, nodding hat, and a scary pumpkin head that goes “Boo.” The little old lady runs home and hears them knocking at her door. She informs them that they can’t scare her and all the objects get very sad, now that they haven’t got a job to do. Problem solving in her kindly way, she employs them all as her scarecrow. Kids universally adore this book. It’s great for teaching noises and deriving sequencing activities. High level of repetition makes this a great choice for our learners.
